We Need Your Help: As a newly formed nonprofit organization, our success will depend on our volunteer staff who truly are the backbone of our foundation. Honor The Fallen Foundation is currently in need of the
following positions and services:
Local residents of Davis and the Sacramento greater area:
- Administrative Support: We are currently looking for volunteers to help us in the office with filing, processing orders, answering phones and much more. If you live in the local area and would like to help out in our office, please contact us. I Can Help.
- Bracelet Packaging: We have thousands of bracelets arriving that need to be packaged for direct shipping. If you would like to help us package these bracelets, and you live near our Davis, California office, we could really use your help. I Can Help.
- Telephone support: Our phones have been ringing off the hook. To better serve our customers and to help the families making quilt panels, you could help answer phones from your home. We could forward calls to your home, which would be a tremendous help for our limited staff. If you would like to help us receive calls, please contact us. I Can Help.
- Carpenter Skills: We just moved into a new building in Davis. There are several things we need to do in preparation of our quilt panels that are soon to arrive. Many of these projects are for the skilled carpenter with cabinetry experience and basic framing. If you have a hammer, nails, and a good saw, please contact us. I Can Help.
- Certified Public Accountant: As a nonprofit organization, it is critical to have our finances in order. This is a very big undertaking, but one that is necessary. We really need a CPA to help us keep our books in order. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated. I Can Help.
- Legal Assistance: Another very critical resource needed is legal advice. We currently have a wonderful attorney (Gregory Rutchik) helping with our trademark issues. However, we do need legal advice in nonprofit areas, so this too is a very important request. If you can help, please contact us. I Can Help.
- Quilting: We need experienced quilters who are willing to help our many families create their quilt panels. We would like to team-up quilters with families to offer them advice, sewing support, and quilting information. This is a very important and prestigious volunteer position to uphold. Our families who are making quilt panels will be depending on you to help them complete their quilt panels. If you are a quilter and want to interface directly with the families making quilts, we need you. I Can Help.
- Special Projects Committee: We have several special projects that need to be implemented. They include fundraising events. marketing campaigns, and quilt panel display organizing (and much more). If you are focused, responsible, and dedicated to seeing a project from start to finish, this is a job for you. I Can Help.
- Internet Research: We are in constant need of people who are good with the Internet. We need help getting our web site linked to as many web sites as possible. We also need help posting our site on all major search engines. If you are good with a computer and think you could help, contact us. I Can Help.
- Photography: In order to create our virtual memorial quilt panel project, we will need a local photographer to help take photos of incoming quilt panels. We will also need a photographer to travel with us to memorial quilt displays. If you are an experienced photographer looking to help, please contact us. I Can Help.
